COOL CITIES

Cool city
A cool city is the quick action to help solve global warming. CO2 is increase more than tribal during the 200 year ago. As increases of the economy as it increases in population and traffic. For example, The USA has the highest CO2 emission per GDP in the world while the Japan reduces the CO2 emission up to 37% with modern digital systems and enjoyable lifestyles. 90% of CO2 is produce from building and transportation. In this case the governments are moving forward with innovative energy solutions that curb global warming and great healthier cities and they call it cool earth 50.

SDCJ is Sustainable Urban Development Consortium for Japan and Gulf States Partier ship. Overall, the city will make the amount of co2 down up to 60% and carbon emissions to 30%. I believe that this city will open many minds to solve the problems of the earth and the most one which is global warming.

Carbon Footprint

Carbon footprint is the total amount of greenhouse gases produced to directly and indirectly support human activities, usually expressed in equivalent tons of carbon dioxide (CO2). In other words: When you drive a car, the engine burns fuel which creates a certain amount of CO2, depending on its fuel consumption and the driving distance. (CO2 is the chemical symbol for carbon dioxide). When you heat your house with oil, gas or coal, then you also generate CO2. Even if you heat your house with electricity, the generation of the electrical power may also have emitted a certain amount of CO2. When you buy food and goods, the production of the food and goods also emitted some quantities of CO2.
I measured my carbon foot print at some sites in the internet and many people can calculate their carbon footprint from these sites, for example:

    http://footprint.wwf.org.uk/

    http://www.myfootprint.org/

In these three sites I calculate my average of the equivalent number is 17.93 tonnes per annum. Then I compare my number to the others student that calculated their carbon footprint. First Abdulla Alqasemi got 21.32 tonnes per annum, Ahmed Naji got 37.81 tonnes per annum and last Abdulla Al Aamadi got almost 30 tonnes. So I got the lowest carbon footprint in the class.

Individuals can reduce their own carbon footprint by minimizing energy use in the home, traveling by public transport, using the car less, flying less frequently, buying energy efficient products, consuming goods that have used little energy in their production and transport, and minimizing waste by reducing, re-using and recycling."

opinion

Opinion

In my opinion the government should regulate emissions into our environment because it is the only can play the strong role in each country and her examples…?

When they give warning to each factory when their emission is high with out agency or afraid from the owner and gratify how low emission has. In the anther hand the government should control the emissions of the vehicle. For example in Abu- Dhabi has very strong role with emissions from the cars. Beside that it produce new role with old cars which exceed more than 20 years old because they cause a lot of problems in traffic and air pollution. Also the government should increase the taxes in the social fuel and support the solar energy. For example in Dubai some people use electrical cars which are worked by sun energy.

An Inconvenient Truth

An Inconvenient Truth

An Inconvenient Truth is the film talked about our weather future by Al Gore. Also it talked about the commitment to reversing the effects of global climate change with science of global warming.

In the world, there are many factors effect the human, the animals and the plants during some changing of weather and from air pollution. When I saw the move, the earth's climate is an engine, they means the temperature almost when raised, the affection result become more than the increasing rate. CO2 emission is exponentially rising temperature, already responsible for dramatic climatic shifts like ice-cap melting, drought, and rising sea level. Also regarding the effects of the global warming, in the Himalayas there is a particular problem because more than 40% of the people in the world get their drinking water from rivers and spring systems that are fed more than half by the melt water coming off the glaciers. Within this next half century those 40% of the people on earth are going to face a very serious shortage because of this melting. In Al Gore presentation he explained in many ways and he made it funny, charming, and engaging style.

As we can result from this film we must try as we can to decrease the affection to the earth from our side to live in a safe live that not causes dieses that could affect us. An Inconvenient Truth is not a story of despair but rather rallying cry to protect the one earth we all share. (( It is new clear that we face a deeping global climate crisis, that requires us to act boldly, quickly and wisely )).said Al Gore.
